JANUARY
14, 2005:
Richard
Hatch, who played Apollo on the original version of Battlestar Galactica,
makes a guest appearance in the third episode of the new version of the
series. On the episode "BASTILLE DAY", Hatch plays Tom Zarich,
a Nelson Mandela-style political prisoner, who makes life difficult for
Apollo, currently played by Jamie Bamber. Read Hatch's diary of his work
on the episode here.
Sci
Fi Channel also listed the Daytime Rotation episodes for 2/11/05, so I've
posted them in the schedule section.
JANUARY
07, 2005:
The
new series is set to debut January 14, 2005.
All
that week, starting on Monday, January 10, the Sci-Fi channel will run
the original series in their Daytime Rotation, in episodic order. They
are even going to run Galactica 1980, following, to wind up the week.
Prior
to the first episode debut, the network will run the "Lowdown"
special again, featuring interviews with the cast [past and present],
as well as commentary on the series. This show will also be broadcast
on the USA Network, which is the sister network to the Sci-Fi Channel.
The
network is also re-running the original mini-series that ran last year
at night during the week to prime viewers for the new series. NBC, the
Sci-Fi's parent company, will also be showing the mini-series Saturday,
January 8, starting at 8pm. It will be edited to fit the time slot.
